Digitizing the Grid: Aerial Intelligence & AI for Smarter Power Line Inspections
Both a government-owned energy company and a power Company in Suriname manage kilometers of high-voltage power lines with hundreds of utility poles across the country. Manual inspections proved dangerous, costly and incomplete, creating a need for a solution that was scalable, accurate and safe. We provided a comprehensive technological solution in partnership with HEPTA, delivering: RGB, thermal and LiDAR inspections, AI-powered defect classification and custom defect reports with prioritization and action plans.
This solution created a complete digital twin of the power grid, detected hundreds of classified defects, and enabled accelerated maintenance with reduced downtime. Our approach now enables grid operators to digitalize inspection processes, reduce risks and control costs – with proven reliability and efficiency.
